Junior League of South Brevard, Inc. (JLSB)
The league traces its origins to July 26, 1966, when fourteen women formally organized as a Service League in South Brevard County. In September of the same year, thirty-two additional members joined, marking the beginning of the League’s early growth.
One of the group’s initial fundraising efforts was the Antique Show and Champagne Preview Party. This event became a recurring annual fundraiser and continued successfully through 1983, providing financial support for various service initiatives during that period.
On May 7, 1980, the organization officially became the 240th League recognized by the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc., adopting the name Junior League of South Brevard, Inc. This affiliation reflected a transition toward formalized leadership development, community partnership, and expanded volunteer coordination within the framework of a larger international network.
For nearly five decades, the Junior League of South Brevard, Inc., maintained an active presence in Brevard County, contributing to local projects through structured voluntarism and civic service.
