    Dear Valued JLSB Supporter,

After thoughtful consideration, the Junior League of South Brevard has elected to postpone all public-facing events through Spring of 2020 until the coronavirus (COVID-19) is better understood and controlled. This includes our Girl P.O.W.E.R event on March 28th, our Kids in the Kitchen Event on April 18th, and our 5th Annual Bourbon Ball on May 2nd.

Following the guidance of medical professionals, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the State of Florida and the Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI), we are taking this proactive stance to ensure the health and safety of our members and local community.  All members, partners and event guests will receive a follow-up email regarding refunds, credits, and alternate participation options for upcoming events.

We thank our members, leaders, guests and sponsors who were planning and looking forward to these wonderful events and understand the disappointment in this development. However, we hope that you will continue to support and participate in alternate League programming and look forward to seeing you at events again in the near future.

We will continue to communicate all developments that affect our League, members and partners through email, social media channels and our website. In the meantime, we thank you for your understanding and generous support.

    We wish you good health.

    Kristin Schroeder, JLSB President

The Secret Santa program for Melbourne students is 9 years old!   This year, we served 155 students from Sabal, Creel, and Harbor City elementary.

Thanks to the support of our sustainers, actives, and the community we were able to donate items such as clothing and hygiene products, books, and school supplies. Each child also got a toy and a few stocking stuffers.  The total value of presents this year was over $15,000.

    Special thanks to:

    • Sustainer Patricia Sutherland & the members of the Faith Viera Lutheran Church for their many donations
    • Sustainers Sherry Kolleda, Lindsay Sanger, and Nancy Rittinger for allowing their businesses to be used as drop-off locations.
